KAGHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Mar, 2026) Member of the Provincial Assembly Munir Hussain Lughmani and Secretary Tourism, Archaeology and Museums Saadat Hussain on Saturday inaugurated a 9-kilometer-long road and a newly constructed chairlift in Manwar Valley, a scenic area of Kaghan.
The link road to the tourist destination had been repeatedly damaged by last year’s monsoon rains and floods, causing severe difficulties for more than 20,000 residents of adjoining areas. On the directives of the provincial government, the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) undertook immediate measures and completed the construction of an alternative road along with a chairlift, fulfilling a long-standing demand of the local population.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Director General KDA Rahmat Ali and local residents, who warmly welcomed the initiative and expressed their satisfaction over the resolution of their long-pending issue.
Speaking on the occasion, MPA Munir Hussain Lughmani and Secretary Tourism Saadat Hussain said that a comprehensive master plan is being prepared for the development of Kaghan Valley. They added that Manwar Valley would also be included in a new tourist destination project.
They further stated that, in line with the provincial government’s vision, practical steps are being taken to promote tourism and provide improved facilities to both visitors and local communities, aiming to ensure sustainable tourism growth and uplift the standard of living in the region.
