PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jun, 2026) Employees of Capital Metropolitan Government Peshawar and Town Municipal Administrations (TMA) here Wednesday organized protest demonstrations in front of Municipal Offices and Peshawar Press Club to protest over non-payment of salaries and pensions.
Workers including employees of Capital Metropolitan Government, TMA Shah Alam, TMA Chamkani, General Bus Stands of Charsadda and Kohat, Municipal Inter Colleges, Fire Brigade, East and West Zones and various other departments gathered in large numbers at the Capital Metropolitan office under the leadership of chairman Labour Alliance, Qaiser Bacha.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The protesters strongly condemned the non-payment of salaries and pensions to Capital Metropolitan employees and pensioners chanting slogans in support of their demands.
Addressing the protesters, Qaiser Bacha said that it was highly unfortunate and condemnable that Capital Metropolitan employees and pensioners had not received their salaries and pensions before Eid-ul-Adha. He urged the government to show compassion towards employees and pensioners and ensure the immediate release of salaries and pensions.
Protestors warned that if the legitimate demands of employees were not accepted immediately, the protests would be held in other areas.
