Murree administration finalises plans for ‘Marka-e-Haq’ victory celebrations

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) The Murree district administration has finalised arrangements to celebrate the anniversary of the “Marka-e-Haq” victory with patriotic events across the district.

Presiding over a meeting to review preparations, Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi said the success was a matter of national pride and would be celebrated with enthusiasm and unity.

He said the Pakistani nation had always demonstrated solidarity during difficult times, while the armed forces had ensured the country’s defence through professionalism, sacrifice and bravery.

The DC directed all relevant departments to ensure effective security, cleanliness and smooth traffic management during the celebrations to facilitate public participation.

Instructions were also issued to rescue services, police, traffic police, municipal bodies and other departments to perform their duties efficiently.

Agha said government and private buildings would be decorated with national flags and lights as part of the celebrations.

Participants of the meeting expressed the hope that the events would help promote a positive message of patriotism, national unity and support for national security institutions among the public.
