Murree administration reviews anti-dengue measures, calls for coordinated response

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) A meeting of the Tehsil Emergency Response Committee (TERC) was held in Murree to review ongoing anti-dengue measures and strengthen preventive efforts.

The meeting, chaired by Assistant Commissioner Murree Arshad Iqbal, was briefed by Deputy District Officer Health Dr. Owais Alam on surveillance activities, field team performance and progress on anti-dengue campaigns.

Officials were informed that hotspot areas had been identified and targeted operations were underway, with regular inspections in homes, markets and public offices.

Arshad Iqbal directed all departments to work in coordination and warned that negligence would not be tolerated.

He emphasized enhancing indoor and outdoor surveillance, eliminating stagnant water and intensifying public awareness campaigns, particularly in hotels, guest houses and public places.

Participants resolved to utilize all available resources to curb dengue and protect citizens from the disease.
