RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) Relief operations are underway in Jhika Gali area after heavy rains triggered landslides, affecting local residents and disrupting normal life.

On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Murree, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab dispatched essential relief goods to the affected area following an urgent request by the district administration.

Officials said landslides occurred at multiple places in Jhika Gali due to torrential rains, creating difficulties for residents and prompting immediate response measures.

The relief supplies include mattresses, blankets, plastic mats, mosquito nets, clean drinking water and food hampers, which will be distributed among affected families.

The district administration said all relevant departments are present in the field, while relief centres have been activated to facilitate affected.

Officials added that operations are continuing without interruption and the situation is being closely monitored to address any emergency promptly.
