Mystery of Lahore Driver’s Killing Unfolds as Body Recovered from House

SANGHAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2026) Mystery surrounding the killing of a Lahore-based rent-a-car driver has unfolded further after police recovered his body from a house in the Model Town area of Tando Adam.

According to police and local sources, a joint operation by Tando Adam and Lahore police led to the recovery of the body of 30-year-old Fayyaz Masih, a resident of Lahore, from a rented bungalow within the limits of Tando Adam City Police Station. The body, reportedly buried for nearly two months, was exhumed after the arrest of suspects during the investigation.

The remains were shifted to Taluka Hospital Tando Adam for medico-legal formalities. Police officials said the victim’s hands and feet were found tied, while his neck appeared broken, suggesting that he was subjected to severe torture prior to his murder.

Following the recovery, the family of the deceased approached the court of Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate-I, Waqas Ahmed Qureshi, seeking permission to transport the body to Lahore for post-mortem examination.

Speaking with APP, the victim’s cousin Sani Rafique Masih said Fayyaz Masih had left Lahore on February 9 with a rented vehicle and went missing shortly afterwards. A missing person report was lodged at Naseerabad Police Station, Lahore

He said that during the investigation, several suspects were detained, whose disclosures led to the recovery of the body from Tando Adam. “Our family has suffered a grave injustice. We demand that all those involved in this brutal murder be arrested and brought to justice,” he said.

Police sources confirmed that the case is registered at Nushter Police Station, Lahore. They added that the investigation has so far led to the arrest of a suspect identified as Shah Imam from Lahore and the victim’s father-in-law from Tando Adam.

The recovery of the body was made following information provided during interrogation.
