NAB women officers hold anti-corruption session

Women officers of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Multan visited the Violence Against Women Centre (VAWC) and held an awareness session aimed at promoting women’s empowerment and building a corruption-free society

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) Women officers of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Multan visited the Violence Against Women Centre (VAWC) and held an awareness session aimed at promoting women’s empowerment and building a corruption-free society.

The visit was organised in line with the vision and directives of the Chairman NAB and Director General NAB Multan to enhance women’s participation in anti-corruption efforts and strengthen ethical values in society.

The delegation included Assistant Director Sana Asghar, Assistant Director Anam Khan, Assistant Director Miss Yasra Arshid Malik, Assistant Director Ms Warda Sheikh, Ms Isma Jabeen Khan (Special Prosecutor), and head of VAWC Ms Munazza Butt, along with other officers. The officials interacted with staff of the Women Police Station and VAWC during an interactive session and workshop.

During the session, speakers stressed the importance of accountability, transparency and ethical conduct in professional life.

They highlighted that women play a key role in shaping future generations and that informed and empowered women are essential for building a morally strong and socially just society.

Participants were briefed about women’s rights, self-defence and their role in discouraging corruption at homes and workplaces. Awareness was also created regarding social responsibilities and institutional cooperation to prevent corrupt practices. The activity aimed to strengthen coordination among institutions and highlight the role of women officers in promoting integrity and good governance.

The programme concluded with an awareness walk inside the centre premises, symbolising a shared commitment to establishing a safe, fair and corruption-free environment for women.
