Naeem Kareem pays tribute to martyrs of Karbala

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jun, 2026) Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Balochistan, Chaudhry Naeem Kareem, has paid tribute to the supreme sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), his family, and companions, describing them as an eternal chapter in the preservation and glory of Islam.

In his message issued on the occasion of Ashura, Naeem Kareem said that the sacrifices of the martyrs of Karbala are a guiding light for the entire Muslim Ummah. He emphasized that the best way to honor them is to cultivate the spirit of selflessness, sacrifice, patience, and tolerance, while promoting sectarian harmony, brotherhood, and unity through words and deeds.

Highlighting the courage of Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions, Naeem Kareem noted that despite being few in number, they refused to bow before the might of Yazid and chose martyrdom in the path of truth.

“This was a battle between truth and falsehood, and victory belonged to truth,” he said, adding that the sacrifices of Karbala led to the supremacy of islam and the defeat of oppressive forces.

He further said that these sacrifices serve as a role model for the Muslim Ummah in eliminating extremism and intolerance. Kareem stressed that the current era demands the promotion of unity among all schools of thought and maintaining complete solidarity against terrorism and destructive elements. He urged religious scholars from all sects to play a pivotal role in guiding society in the right direction.
