LARKANA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) Syed Shakeel Haider, consultant at the Regional Office Larkana of the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh, said that a society and institutions that do not give importance and protection to women cannot be called civilized.

He expressed these views while addressing an awareness seminar organized by the Ombudsman institution on Wednesday at SZABIST Technical and Vocational Education Larkana regarding the prevention of harassment against women. He said that no nation can progress until its women are educated and aware, because islam has instructed both men and women to seek education and has also emphasized hard work. Islam also teaches that people should spend according to the resources earned through their own efforts.

He further stated that women should focus on their work during employment and maintain their dignity and importance. If anyone harasses them at work, they should report it to the head of the institution or the committee established within the organization, because women and men have equal rights in society.

He said that women work alongside men in institutions and everyday life and provide excellent services. Especially women working at home perform their duties with patience and determination while managing household responsibilities effectively.

He said that under the 2010 Act, a clear framework has been established for employees working in institutions to ensure their protection.
