ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) The Embassy of the People's Republic of China, in collaboration with the Higher education Commission (HEC), is organising a series of student competitions to commemorate 75 years of China-Pakistan diplomatic relations.
In this regards, the National College of Arts (NCA) has invited its students to participate in two competitions, an essay writing contest and a short video competition.
For the essay competition, students may write on topics including China-Pakistan friendship, stories of bilateral cooperation, and the future of the relationship between the two countries. Essays must be written in English, must not exceed 2,000 words, and are due by April 20. Each department may nominate only one best essay, and plagiarism will be strictly penalised by HEC.
According to an official of NCA, the short video competition required students to submit three-minute videos on themes such as 75 years of China-Pakistan friendship, Chinese stories, and youth cooperation between the two nations.
Participants are encouraged to use Chinese AI tools for scriptwriting, video production, and dubbing. Videos must be submitted via Google Drive or OneDrive through the Head of Department, with each department nominating only one entry. The deadline for video submissions is June 15.
Entries from both competitions will be evaluated at the national level by a joint China-Pakistan committee at the HEC Secretariat. For further information, students may contact the office of Deputy Controller of Examinations, Ms Nomera Adil. The initiative is open to currently enrolled students of the National College of Arts.
