Neighbour held in burglary case, stolen gold ornaments recovered

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) Sadiqabad Police have carried out a major operation, solving a house burglary case with a dramatic breakthrough, as a neighbour was found to be involved in the crime.

Police also recovered valuables worth over Rs 5 million, including 10 tolas of gold, 15 tolas of silver, a mobile phone and Rs 17,000 in cash.

According to police spokesperson, the suspect had broken the locks and carried out the theft when the family was away from home.

Sadiqabad Police registered a case and using technical and human intelligence resources, apprehended the suspect.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawal, Saad Arshad appreciated the performance of police team and professionalism and said the accused would be challaned in court with solid evidence. He made it clear that it is prime duty of police to protect the lives and properties of people.
