The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has introduced a cashless payment system for driving licence fees to facilitate citizens and improve service delivery

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has introduced a cashless payment system for driving licence fees to facilitate citizens and improve service delivery.

Deputy Inspector General (Operations) Asghar Ali formally inaugurated the system, marking a significant step towards digitization and improved public convenience, said a press release issued here on Thursday.

The initiative aims to eliminate the need for applicants to visit banks, providing a more convenient and efficient process. Under the new system, citizens can now easily pay their driving license fees through digital platforms such as Easypaisa, JazzCash, and various banking apps.

In collaboration with the National Bank of Pakistan, QR code machines have been activated at the Islamabad Driving Licensing Authority.

Similar facilities will also be made available at the Sheikhupura and Quetta Driving Licensing Authorities.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior officials of the Motorway Police and the National Bank of Pakistan. This modern facility is expected to ensure time and cost savings, enable hassle-free payments, and provide instant real-time reconciliation notifications in coordination with the National Bank of Pakistan.
