LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Apr, 2026) A delegation of officers participating in the National Management Course (NMC) visited the Central Police Office (NMC) and met Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem on Friday.
The delegation, comprising senior officers of the Pakistan Police Service, was from the National school of Public Policy, Pakistan Administrative Staff College.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, the delegation included DIG Shoukat Abbas, DIG Rana Abdul Jabbar and DIG Sajjad Hassan Khan Manj. Additional IG Training Punjab Khurram Shakoor, DIG Training Rao Munir Ahmad Zia and AIG Development Dr. Rizwan Ahmad Khan were also present on the occasion.
The delegation was given a detailed briefing on Punjab Police’s infrastructure development, Safe Cities initiatives, smart policing, welfare measures and strategic reforms. Various aspects of law and order, crime control, operations, investigation, traffic management and community services were also highlighted.
Speaking on the occasion, IGP Abdul Kareem said that prompt registration of cases, specialised investigation, modern IT-based policing and quality training were among the top priorities. He said that significant improvements had been achieved in police services through infrastructure development, human resource management and IT reforms.
He added that initiatives such as Police Khidmat Centres, Tahaffuz-o-Misaq Centres and Tahaffuz Manzil-o-Darsgah were key flagship projects in public service delivery, while the establishment of the Crime Control Department (CCD) had led to a noticeable reduction in crime.
The spokesperson said the delegation appreciated Punjab Police’s initiatives in crime control, public service delivery and community policing.
