No compromise on self-generated income, says MD horticulture agency

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Apr, 2026) Horticulture Agency Multan, Managing Director Syed Waseem Hassan

said on Sunday that there would be no compromise on self-generated

income of the department and that recovery targets would be strictly enforced.

He warned that contractors who fail to make payments within the stipulated

time would be blacklisted. He also announced that the long-standing issue

regarding employees’ salaries had been resolved, ensuring uninterrupted

salary disbursement until June.

The MD stated this during his visit to various green belts and public parks

in the city. Director Admin and Finance Muhammad Nadeem Malik and

Director Horticulture Saad Qureshi were also present on the occasion.

Syed Waseem Hassan further stated that work had commenced at Chowk No. 8,

including land filling and grass plantation, followed by extensive tree plantation

to enhance its beauty. He added that greenbelts at Chowk No. 7 and Chowk No. 8

were being rehabilitated and upgraded on modern lines.

Highlighting ongoing development efforts, he said that parks across the city

were being equipped with improved facilities for public convenience. He also

noted that operations against illegal publicity and advertisements were continued

across Multan.

The MD emphasized that comprehensive measures were being taken to increase

the agency’s self-generated revenue.
