Official team inspects flood protection Bunds

An official team led by Assistant Commissioner Sadar inspected 49 kilometers long series of flood protection embankments in riverine areas around Multan city near Chenab river bank for assessment of their strength and level of arrangements being made to counter expected flood threat

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jun, 2026) An official team led by Assistant Commissioner Sadar inspected 49 kilometers long series of flood protection embankments in riverine areas around Multan city near Chenab river bank for assessment of their strength and level of arrangements being made to counter expected flood threat.

AC Sadar Waqas Zafar, leading a team of officials including SDO irrigation and revenue staff, inspected flood Bunds including Ghalu Wala, Shereen Wala, Bosan, Lak Wala, Nawabpur, Akbar Flood Bund, Chenab Chowk, Garray Wala, Walot Morr, and railways flood Bund at Shershah.

The AC ordered officials to adopt measures to make pre-flood preparations more to avoid losses in case of floods, officials said on Tuesday.
