On-duty police constable dies of cardiac arrest

MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jun, 2026) Police driver Constable Sajid Hafiz, who died after suffering a cardiac arrest while on duty,was laid to rest with full state honors in Muzaffargarh on Saturday.

According to a police spokesperson, District Police Officer (DPO),Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah expressed grief over the constable's demise and extended condolences to the bereaved family.

The funeral prayer was attended by DSP Headquarters, senior police officials, fellow personnel and a large number of local residents.

The coffin was draped with the national flag and the Punjab Police flag before the deceased was laid to rest with full official honors.

Police said Constable Sajid Hafiz suffered a cardiac arrest while performing his official duties.
