RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2026) A year after its launch, Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos — widely hailed as Maarka-e-Haq (Battle of Truth) remains emblematic of Pakistan’s national unity, military preparedness and close civil-military leadership, marking a defining chapter in the country’s contemporary security narrative.
The operation, initiated on May 10, 2025, came in response to heightened regional tensions following the Pahalgam incident, which triggered a cycle of escalation.
According to official accounts, Pakistan’s armed forces responded with a swift and coordinated military strategy, targeting key positions and compelling the adversary to halt its advance.

“Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos demonstrated that future conflicts are not fought on the battlefield alone,” Gul said. “Information management, diplomatic signaling and internal cohesion are equally critical. Pakistan effectively employed all these elements.”
Parliamentary Secretary for Information Daniyal Chaudhry described the operation as a “golden chapter” in Pakistan’s history, crediting both political and military leadership for a unified national response. He said the success reflects the synergy between effective diplomacy, military preparedness and a strong national narrative that elevated Pakistan’s standing at the global level.
Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Malik Abrar Ahmed said the operation stands as practical proof that national unity remains Pakistan’s greatest strength. “When the nation stands united, no force can undermine its sovereignty. This victory reflects our collective resolve, dignity and commitment to defend the homeland,” he said, adding that it sends a powerful message to the younger generation about discipline, unity and patriotism.
Social and political figure Haji Zafar Iqbal emphasized the role of public resilience, stating that the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces. “The response to aggression was decisive and unforgettable. It reflects not only military capability but also the unwavering spirit of the Pakistani people,” he said, while appreciating the leadership for guiding the country through a critical phase.
Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Malik Iftikhar said the operation reinforced confidence in Pakistan’s defence capabilities and leadership. “This historic success is the result of coordinated civil-military efforts and national unity.
It has strengthened our belief that Pakistan is fully capable of defending its sovereignty against any aggression,” he remarked.
At the heart of the commemorations are the sacrifices of soldiers who were martyred or injured during the operation.
Officials and commentators alike described them as the “true heroes” whose contributions continue to shape the national narrative.
