Over 1,391 tons of sacrificial waste collected across Attock on first day of Eid

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th May, 2026) Following the special directives of Maryam Nawaz Sharif, an extensive cleanliness operation continued across District Attock on the first day of Eid-ul-Adha to ensure timely disposal of sacrificial animal waste and maintain sanitation standards.

The district-wide campaign was carried out under the supervision of Rao Atif Raza and Additional Deputy Commissioner General and Managing Director Suthra Punjab Agency Aneel Saeed. According to the district administration, a total of 1,391.71 tons of offal and waste were collected and shifted to designated dumping sites across all tehsils of the district.

Official figures showed that 302.81 tons of waste were collected from Tehsil Attock, 286.

395 tons from Hazro, 154.625 tons from Hassan Abdal, 197.59 tons from Fateh Jang, 216.75 tons from Pindi Gheb, and 233.54 tons from Jand. Sanitation teams remained active throughout the day to ensure prompt collection and disposal operations in urban and rural areas.

Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza said all available resources were being utilized in line with the vision of the Punjab chief minister to provide citizens with a clean and hygienic environment during Eid-ul-Adha. He appreciated the efforts of the Suthra Punjab Agency, district administration and other departments, and urged citizens to cooperate with sanitation workers by using waste bags and official helplines for proper disposal of animal remains.
