ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th May, 2026) Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) deployed more than 400 officers across roads, highways and recreational spots of the Federal capital to ensure smooth traffic flow and safe travel for citizens during Eid-ul-Adha holidays.
An ITP official told APP on Thursday that special traffic squads had also been deployed on major roads to prevent one-wheeling, hooliganism and dangerous driving.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Muhammad Sarfraz Virk said no reckless individual would be allowed to endanger lives of citizens through unlawful road activities.
The official said strict action was being taken against violators of traffic laws to maintain discipline and road safety across the city.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>According to the CTO Virk , Islamabad Traffic Police was providing maximum traffic facilitation to families travelling towards recreational and tourist spots during Eid holidays.
Virk urged citizens to park their vehicles and motorcycles only at designated parking areas to avoid inconvenience and traffic congestion.
The official advised citizens to contact Traffic Helpline 1915 or emergency helpline “Pucar-15” in case of any emergency or assistance requirement.
