Paharpur AC reviews rain-hit areas, orders swift drainage measures

Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Apr, 2026) Assistant Commissioner Paharpur Dr. Hamid on Sunday visited various rain-affected localities, including Rangpur, Hafizabad and Siddiqabad, to assess the situation following recent showers.

During the visit, he inspected streets inundated with rainwater and mud, directing the relevant departments to expedite sanitation work and improve dewatering operations on an urgent basis.

The assistant commissioner also instructed authorities to develop a comprehensive plan for road improvement and a permanent drainage system, emphasizing coordination among concerned departments.

Officials of the relevant departments have been summoned to his office on Monday to review progress and finalize a future course of action.

Meanwhile, taking notice of an incident of a house roof collapse due to rains, Dr. Hamid visited the site and ensured immediate processing of compensation for the affected family. The case has been forwarded to the concerned authorities for early financial assistance.
