Paharpur Admin seals two private health facilities over violations

Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Apr, 2026) Acting on public complaints, Assistant Commissioner Paharpur Dr. Hamid, accompanied by the Assistant Director Consumer Protection, conducted surprise inspections of several private hospitals in Paharpur, officials said.

During the visits, authorities reviewed doctors’ consultation fees, healthcare services, and overall sanitation conditions

at the facilities.

Officials said that Maryam Hospital was sealed on the spot after it was found operating without required legal documentation and allegedly involved in illegal medical practices.

Legal proceedings were initiated under the

Consumer Protection Act.

Similarly, Ali Medical Clinic was also sealed for violating regulatory requirements, and joint legal action has been

launched against the facility.

The crackdown aims to discourage unqualified and fraudulent practitioners and ensure strict action against those endangering public health.

The assistant commissioner said that no one would be allowed to compromise citizens’ health, adding that indiscriminate action would continue against fake and unlicensed medical practitioners.
