Pak-China diplomatic relations complete 75 years; ceremony held in Sargodha

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) A dignified ceremony was organized by the district administration at the Commissioner Office Complex here on Thursday to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

Commissioner Sargodha Division Hafiz Shaukat Ali, Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry, SP Investigation Imran Abbas Chadhar and other civil, police, and administrative officers attended the event.

The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the national flags of Pakistan and China.

The Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner jointly performed the flag-hoisting ceremony, while a smartly turned-out police contingent presented a salute and held a march-past.

The police band also played national tunes, adding a patriotic atmosphere to the event.

Addressing the ceremony, Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali said that the friendship between Pakistan and China was not merely a diplomatic relationship but a shining example of mutual trust, sincerity, and everlasting brotherhood.

He congratulated the Chinese people on the completion of 75 years of diplomatic ties and said the friendship between the two countries had successfully stood the test of time and grown stronger with every passing year.

He said China had always supported Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and socio-economic development.

Referring to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), he termed it a landmark project of Pak-China friendship that had opened new avenues of development, prosperity and investment in Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry said that Pakistan-China relations were a guarantee of peace, stability and progress in the region.

He added that the brotherly relations and mutual trust between the two countries served as an example for the world, while the people of Pakistan highly valued China’s unwavering support.

Participants expressed good wishes for the continued prosperity, progress and enduring friendship between the two countries. Government buildings were also illuminated to mark the occasion.
