ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) Federal Minister for Public Affairs Unit Rana Mubashar Iqbal on Friday appreciated Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for gaining global attention and trust, expressing confidence in their leadership and in the continuity of Iran–US dialogue toward a logical end.
While speaking to ptv news channel, he said that the world was facing severe unrest and rising tensions with far-reaching consequences, but the role played by Pakistan’s leadership in such a critical situation has been unforgettable, particularly in efforts to prevent escalation and avert conflict, which he described as a major achievement.
He said the prevention of war and de-escalation in such a volatile environment was a significant credit to Pakistan’s leadership, adding that the country had demonstrated responsible and constructive diplomacy at a crucial time when global tensions were high.
He further appreciated the role of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, China, Turkey and other Islamic countries for placing trust in Pakistan’s leadership, noting that Pakistan has emerged as a key point of attention on the global diplomatic stage, with countries across Asia and beyond looking towards its role in maintaining stability.
He also mentioned Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visits to Saudi Arabia and Qatar, saying these engagements reflected Pakistan’s growing diplomatic outreach and improving international image, with the world increasingly acknowledging Pakistan’s position as a responsible and trusted partner.
He further expressed hope that the United States and Iran would move towards a positive outcome through continued dialogue, saying sustained diplomacy is the only viable path to lasting peace.
Minister prayed for stability in the region and thanked Allah Almighty, adding that the nation remains hopeful and optimistic that better days are ahead and that ongoing diplomatic engagements and recent visits will yield encouraging and positive results.
