The event, held at the Embassy’s Chancery in collaboration with the Silk Road Cities Alliance, Jinshang Group and WTL Design, featured live musical performances, a video presentation on the renovation of the chancery building, and a joint tree plantation ceremony, said a press release issued on Friday.

Addressing the gathering, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi, welcomed the distinguished guests and highlighted the symbolic significance of the occasion. He noted that the renovation of the Chancery and the tree plantation both reflect renewal, continuity, and confidence in the future, mirroring the Pakistan-China relationship, which has remained deeply rooted, steadily evolving, and forward-looking over the past 75 years.

The Ambassador underscored that the renovated Chancery represents more than a physical upgrade. It embodies a thoughtful integration of Pakistan’s cultural heritage with contemporary design, serving as a platform for cultural expression and diplomatic engagement. He further emphasized that the tree plantation symbolizes sustained growth, environmental responsibility, and a shared commitment to future generations.
