FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2026) University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali has said that Pakistan is emerging as global peace ambassador through its proactive and balanced diplomacy.

He expressed these views while presiding over a seminar titled “Pakistan’s emerging role in global peace building and diplomacy” held at UAF under the aegis of Senior Tutor Office in collaboration with the Character Building Society and Rotaract Club.

The vice chancellor emphasized that Pakistan’s constructive engagement at international level reflected maturity of its foreign policy and effectiveness of its institutions in fostering peace. He highlighted growing role of Pakistan in mediating international conflicts for promotion of stability and stressed that youth must take a leading role in promoting tolerance, harmony and dialogue to further strengthen positive image of the country globally.

He also appreciated the contributions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, stating that their leadership had helped position Pakistan as a responsible and peace-loving nation on the world stage.

The speakers including Dr Muhammad Azhar and Dr Unsa Jamshed from Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) elaborated on Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives and its role in global peace-building while stressing the need for sustained efforts in awareness and policy engagement.

Dean Faculty of Agriculture Dr Ghulam Murtaza, Senior Tutor Dr Shaukat Ali and Dr Rafi Muzammil also addressed the seminar, highlighting the importance of academic institutions in shaping informed perspectives on international affairs and strengthening Pakistan’s global standing.
