Pakistan playing pivotal role in global peace, major talks underway in Islamabad, Sherry Rehman

US and Iranian delegations meet face-to-face in Islamabad for critical talks hosted by Pakistan.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and Senator Sherry Rehman has said that Pakistan is currently playing an important role in promoting regional peace and strengthening diplomatic engagement.

Speaking to Bol News, she stated that some of the most significant diplomatic consultations are taking place in Islamabad, and Pakistan’s role has evolved into that of an active diplomatic hub.

She said, rising tensions between Iran and the United States have caused global concern, and in such a situation, Pakistan is enjoying trust from multiple sides. She added that several countries are reportedly using Pakistan for backdoor diplomacy, sending messages and facilitating communication through its channels.

She further said that Pakistan’s positive diplomatic approach is giving it a central position in the region, enhancing its overall diplomatic stature.

She emphasized the need to maintain this momentum so that Pakistan can continue contributing effectively to peace efforts.

Sherry also noted that in any potential negotiations, both parties would present their respective positions, and Pakistan could serve as a facilitator in the process.
