Pakistan receives $1.3 billion from IMF: SBP

Pakistan received a total of SDR 914 million, which is equal to around $1.3 billion.

The State Bank of Pakistan said that Pakistan has received about $1.3 billion from the International Monetary Fund.

According to details, the IMF Executive Board completed its third review under the Extended Fund Facility on May 8, 2026, and approved the release of SDR 760 million. It also approved the second tranche of SDR 154 million under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility.

As a result, Pakistan received a total of SDR 914 million, which is equal to around $1.3 billion, on May 12, 2026.

The central bank said this amount will be included in the country’s foreign exchange reserves for the week ending May 15, 2026.
