CANBERRA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jul, 2026) The Pakistani community in Canberra, in collaboration with the High Commission for Pakistan, successfully hosted the Pakistan Mango and Multicultural Festival 2026 at Thoroughbred Park on Sunday.
The event, which was part of Pakistani mango festivals in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, attracted more than 20,000 visitors from Canberra and adjoining areas.
The festival was officially inaugurated by ACT Minister for Community Services and Multiculturalism, Suzanne Orr, and High Commissioner of Pakistan, Irfan Shaukat. ACT Minister Orr commended the Mango Festival organisers for successfully organising such a significant community event.

The High Commissioner appreciated the festival as a celebration of Pakistan's rich cultural heritage and traditions. He underscored the contributions of the Pakistani-Australian diaspora in Australia’s multicultural society and strengthening people-to-people ties between the two countries.
The festival showcased Pakistan's world-renowned mangoes, traditional cuisine, cultural exhibits, music and performances, providing an opportunity for people from diverse backgrounds to come together in a spirit of friendship, inclusiveness and cultural harmony.
