Patwari arrested over Rs.400,000 bribe for inheritance transfer

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jul, 2026) The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on Friday arrested a patwari for allegedly accepting a Rs.400,000 bribe from a citizen to process an inheritance transfer,officials said.

According to ACE officials,the accused,identified as Zafar was serving as a patwari in Chak Kooray Wala when he allegedly demanded and received Rs.

400,000 from Hameed Ullah for transferring inherited property in the official land record.

Acting on a complaint filed by the citizen,an ACE team under the supervision of Deputy Director(DD),Ameer Abdullah Khan conducted a raid and arrested the suspect.

A case has been registered against the accused while further investigation was underway.
