PCB adds third-place play-off in National Women’s T20 Tournament

Decision comes as part of efforts to maintain competitive balance and provide additional match exposure in the five-team event  

LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-April 9^th, 2026) The Pakistan cricket board (PCB) Women’s Wing has announced the introduction of a third-place play-off in the ongoing National Women’s T20 Tournament 2025-26 to ensure maximum playing opportunities for participants, particularly after several fixtures were affected by rain.

The decision comes as part of efforts to maintain competitive balance and provide additional match exposure in the five-team event.

The third-place play-off will be held at the LCCA Ground on Saturday, April 11, with the match scheduled to begin at 10:00am.

Meanwhile, the two fixtures originally planned for Saturday have been rescheduled to Friday, April 10. In the first match, Challengers will face Strikers at Bagh-e-Jinnah, while Conquerors will take on Invincibles at the Ghani Glass Cricket Ground. Both matches will start at 10:00am.

The final of the tournament will be played on Sunday, April 12, between the top two teams on the points table. The title clash will be live-streamed on the PCB’s YouTube channel and is scheduled to begin at 10:00am.
