According to the advisory, a strong westerly weather system is expected to enter the province on April 6, affecting most districts.
Rainfall with snowfall over mountains is likely in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Buner, Malakand, Battagram, Mansehra, and Abbottabad.

The PDMA warned that heavy rainfall and hailstorms are likely in various areas on April 7 and 8.
Due to persistent rains, there is a risk of landslides in upper districts and possible overflow in local streams and nullahs.
Flash flooding may occur in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Malakand, Buner, Abbottabad, and Kohistan, while urban flooding is feared in low-lying areas of Peshawar, Mardan, and Nowshera.
The authority cautioned that strong winds and hailstorms could damage weak structures, electricity poles, and solar panels, while standing crops may also be affected. Farmers have been advised to take precautionary measures.
PDMA has directed district administrations to ensure preemptive arrangements, including readiness of rescue teams and availability of necessary resources.
Authorities have also been instructed to keep major highways open, maintain smooth traffic flow, and provide alternate routes where necessary.
Relevant departments have been asked to ensure drainage systems are cleared to prevent urban flooding.
Tourists have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and stay updated on weather conditions, while the public has been urged to avoid floodwaters, streams, and vulnerable areas during heavy rains.
According to the PDMA spokesperson, the Emergency Operation Center is fully functional, and citizens can report any emergency by calling helpline 1700.
