Balochistan is preparing to start its first air ambulance service, marking an important step in providing emergency medical help to people living in remote and hard-to-reach areas of the province.

The “Peoples Air Ambulance” project is being described by officials as a major improvement in emergency healthcare. It will provide fast medical transport for patients with serious injuries, road accidents, or critical health problems. The service is expected to be especially helpful in areas where long distances and poor roads often delay treatment.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said the air ambulance is fully prepared and will be launched soon.

He added that the goal of the project is to quickly move patients from distant areas to major hospitals in Quetta and other cities during emergencies. He said that for many years, people in remote regions faced difficulties in reaching medical care due to tough terrain and lack of fast transport, and this service is meant to solve that problem and help save lives.
