GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2026) On the directives of Deputy Director Punjab Food Authority Rizwan Saeed, enforcement teams continued operations across the district to ensure provision of safe and quality food to the public.
According to official sources, Punjab Food Authority teams conducted 76 inspections of various food points during the past day. As a result, 39 improvement notices were issued to food business operators for violations of hygiene and sanitation standards.

<?php /*?> <?php */?>145,000 were imposed on 14 food business operators for non-compliance with food safety regulations. Authorities also issued two emergency prohibition orders against outlets found violating serious health standards.
During the operations, 8.94 kilograms of expired, substandard, and unsafe food items were seized and destroyed on the spot.
Officials said inspection activities would continue across the district to ensure the provision of safe and hygienic food, adding that strict legal action would be taken against violators.
