PFA conducts 81 inspections in Gujrat

GUJRAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Apr, 2026) On the directions of Deputy Director Punjab Food Authority Rizwan Saeed, food safety operations are

continuing across the district to ensure the provision of safe and quality food to the public.

According to official sources, a total of 81 inspections were conducted during the ongoing campaign, during which 24 improvement notices were issued to various food outlets over violations of food safety standards.

Furthermore, fines were imposed on six establishments, and a total of Rs97,000 was recovered during the operations.

The teams also disposed of 0.1 kilogram of substandard and prohibited food items to prevent potential health risks.

Officials stated that strict action against the sale of unhygienic and banned food items would continue without interruption, warning that violators would be dealt with firmly under the law.
