PHA plants 2,000 saplings along Lahore Ring Road in spring drive

Under supervision of Managing Director PHA, Raja Mansoor Ahmad, Director Zone Abdullah Cheema long with his team and students from private school, actively participated in campaign with great enthusiasm

LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-April 13th, 2026) In line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab, Ms. Maryam Nawaz, the PHA Lahore, in collaboration with a private school, organized a spring plantation drive near Allama Iqbal Airport Ring Road, planting more than 2,000 saplings.

Under the supervision of Managing Director PHA, Raja Mansoor Ahmad, Director Zone Abdullah Cheema ,along with his team and students from the private school, actively participated in the campaign with great enthusiasm.

A variety of fruit-bearing and shade trees were planted along the Ring Road, including Pulkan, Jamun, Pomegranate, Kachnar, Sukh Chain, and Neem.

Director PHA Lahore, Abdullah Cheema, appreciated the participation of the school administration and praised the enthusiasm of the students.

He emphasized that plantation is essential to combat the challenges posed by climate change, and the involvement of the younger generation in such initiatives is highly encouraging. He further stated that these trees will not only help reduce air pollution but will also enhance the beauty of the city. He reaffirmed that such collaborative efforts will continue in the future to make Lahore greener and more environmentally sustainable.
