PHE minister reviews progress on ongoing sanitation projects

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jun, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering, Fazal Shakoor Khan, paid a detailed visit to Gulshan Abad village in Union Council Ghunda Karkana, Charsadda, where he reviewed the progress of an ongoing sanitation project being implemented by the PH department.

The PHE minister conducted a thorough inspection of various components of the project and closely examined the construction activities, the quality of materials being used, and the overall standard of work.

On the occasion relevant officers briefed him on the technical aspects of the project, its completion timeline, and the progress achieved so far.

Emphasizing the importance of quality, efficiency, and transparency, Mr Fazal Shakoor Khan issued clear directives to the concerned authorities and contractors, saying that any negligence, delay, or use of substandard materials in public welfare projects would not be tolerated.

He said that the current KP government is taking practical measures to provide citizens with a clean and healthy environment, and sanitation projects will play a vital role in improving the quality of life of people.

He further said that the Primary objective of the PHE department is to ensure the provision of a clean environment and essential public services, adding that completing of all projects within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining the highest standards of quality remains a key responsibility of the department.

He issued directives to the concerned officials to ensure continuous monitoring of the project and further accelerate the pace of work so that local residents can benefit from the project at the earliest.

On the occasion, he also met with local elders, community leaders, and residents, and listened to their concerns and suggestions.
