Airline will operate three weekly flights from Islamabad and one weekly flight from Lahore
LAHORE: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-March 25th, 2026) Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to resume its direct flight operations to London later this month after a six-year suspension, restoring a key travel link for Pakistani nationals living in Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
A PIA spokesperson said that the airline will operate three weekly flights from Islamabad and one weekly flight from Lahore. The services will be operated using Boeing 777 aircraft.
All flights to London will land at Heathrow Airport Terminal 4. The first Islamabad-London flight is scheduled for March 29, while the Lahore-London service will commence from March 30.
Initially, PIA will operate four weekly flights to London.
The spokesperson noted that PIA has maintained a long-standing association with the London route for over 70 years, as it was among the airline’s earliest international destinations.
With the resumption of these operations, the total number of weekly PIA flights to the United Kingdom will increase to seven. Prior to the suspension in 2020, the airline was operating up to 10 weekly flights on the route.
PIA has indicated that flight operations to London will be gradually expanded in line with demand.
