PO arrested, weapons recovered

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) Iqbal Town Division police achieved a major success by arresting a proclaimed offender (PO) Nisar Mahmood alias Nona, who had been wanted by police for the last three years in multiple serious cases.

According to police, the accused was involved in cases FIR No. 1372/23 under sections 324, 34, 337-F(iii) PPC and FIR No. 1386/23 under section 440 PPC. Police record shows that the accused is a habitual offender and has also been involved in various crimes as a shooter.

SHO Sanda Muhammad Zaka, along with his team, traced and arrested the PO after a targeted operation.

Police officials said the accused had been involved in multiple criminal activities as a shooter. Two pistols along with magazines were recovered from his possession.

Police further said that interrogation of the accused is underway and more revelations are expected.

SP Iqbal Town Sidra Khan appreciated the SHO and his team for the successful operation.

The SP said that Lahore Police are continuing its crackdown against elements involved in serious crimes under the supervision of senior officers.
