Sargodha Police arrested 226 proclaimed offenders (POs) during a major crackdown conducted across the district during the past week

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th May, 2026) Sargodha Police arrested 226 proclaimed offenders (POs) during a major crackdown conducted across the district during the past week.

According to the police spokesperson here on Tuesday, the operation targeted proclaimed offenders and criminals involved in various unlawful activities.

During the campaign, police arrested 115 proclaimed offenders, including 13 from Category-A and 102 from Category-B, along with 111 habitual criminals. Legal proceedings have been initiated against all arrested suspects.

District Police Officer (DPO) Sargodha said that all circle officers and SHOs have been assigned special tasks to further strengthen search operations and patrolling in their respective areas. He emphasized that the crackdown against proclaimed offenders would continue in order to curb street crime and other serious criminal activities in the district.
