Police arrest three members of two gangs involved in street crimes

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) Rawal Division Police have intensified operations against street crime and motorcycle theft, arresting three suspects belonging to two separate gangs and recovered five stolen motorcycles, motorcycle parts, and cash amounting to Rs10,500 snatched from citizens.

A police spokesperson told on Friday that Ratta Amral Police arrested a two-member gang involved in motorcycle theft and recovered four stolen motorcycles along with frames and the snatched cash.

In a separate operation, he said the New Town Police apprehended a suspect involved in motorcycle theft and recovered a stolen motorcycle from his possession.

Police have registered separate cases against all of them and further investigation in progress.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawal, Saad Arshad commended police team action and professionalism, stated that the arrested individuals will be challaned in court with solid evidence. He added that those targeting citizens’ lives and property cannot escape the grip of the law.

Police reiterated their commitment to continuing operations against criminal elements to ensure the safety and security of the public.
