Police arrest two POs in district-wide crackdown

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) The police arrested two Proclaimed Offenders (POs) wanted in separate criminal cases during ongoing operations against absconders across the district,the police sources said on Thursday.

According to police, a team from Attock Khurd Police, under the supervision of Station House Officer Inspector, Khanzada Shahroz, conducted an operation and arrested an “A” category proclaimed offender wanted in a murder case registered in 2025.

The suspect, identified as Israr Nisar alias Saru, son of Mohammad Saleem and a resident of Mansar in Hazro tehsil, was traced and apprehended with the help of modern technology, they added.

In a separate operation, the Bahter police arrested another proclaimed offender namely Mehfooz Rashid, who was wanted in a 2025 case related to theft and illegal occupation.

The police said further investigations were underway following the arrests.
