Police issues security plan for Eid-Ul-Fitr across region

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) On the directives of Regional Police Officer (RPO) Usman Akram Gondal,a comprehensive security plan has been issued for Multan,Vehari,Khanewal and Lodhran to ensure public safety during the night before Eid and Eid-ul-Fitr.

Under the plan, 417 police personnel will be deployed at key locations and major markets on the eve of Eid, while 4,136 officers will provide security at 2,037 Eid congregation sites.

Sensitive locations will be equipped with metal detectors and walk-through gates, with vigilant monitoring of suspicious individuals and objects.

To prevent road mishaps,33 checkpoints have been established to stop one-wheeling, and special police teams will patrol major routes to safeguard public lives and property.

RPO Gondal emphasized that the arrangements aim to protect citizens and maintain peace with all available resources being mobilized to ensure a safe and secure festive environment.
