Police, Rangers hold flag march

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jun, 2026) In a bid to ensure peace and maintain law and order during Muharram-ul-Haram, Multan Police and Rangers conducted a joint flag march across the city on the directions of City Police Officer (CPO) Sadiq Ali Dogar.

The flag march was led by SSP Operations Haider Ali and attended by SP City Bedar Bakht, SP Gulgasht Saifullah, SP Cantt Dr. Khadija Umar, DSPs and SHOs. Officers and personnel of Traffic Police, Elite Force, Dolphin Force and Muhafiz Squad also participated.

The march commenced from Police Lines Multan and passed through major roads and intersections, including MDA Chowk, Raza Abad Chowk, Suraj Miani UBL Chowk, Pul Wasil, Chungi No. 1, High Court Chowk, Khan Plaza, Imperial Chowk, Mall Plaza Chowk, Cantt Chowk, Shah Abbas Chowk and other areas before concluding at Police Lines.

Speaking on the occasion, SSP Operations Haider Ali said comprehensive security measures had been put in place across the district to prevent any untoward incident during Muharram. He said Multan Police were utilizing all available resources to ensure the protection of citizens' lives and property and to maintain a peaceful environment.

He added that the Primary objective of the flag march was to strengthen security arrangements, and demonstrate preparedness to effectively respond to any emergency situation. He reaffirmed the commitment of law enforcement agencies to foil the designs of miscreants and ensure peaceful observance of Muharram across the district.
