Police recover 16kg hashish, arrest smuggler

KHYBER, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jun, 2026) Jamrud Police on Thursday arrested a suspected drug peddler and seized 16kg of hashish during a targeted operation.

Speaking to media men, District Police Officer (DPO) Khyber, Waqar Ahmed stated that a police team established a blockade near Shin Kamar area, under jurisdiction of Bara police station.

Officials stopped a suspicious vehicle and recovered 16 kilograms of hashish hidden inside secret compartments. The driver, identified as Khan Afzal was taken into custody.

Commending dedication and effectiveness of police personnel, DPO expressed confidence that these ongoing operations would soon realize district’s goal of becoming entirely free from the scourge of drugs.
