Police recover arms, narcotics in Paharpur Division search operation

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) The district police carried out a large-scale search and strike operation in Paharpur Division, recovering a substantial quantity of illegal weapons, ammunition and narcotics while arresting several suspects involved in criminal activities.

According to police spokesman, the operation was conducted under the supervision of SP Paharpur Iqbal Khan Baloch, within the jurisdictions of Paharpur, Yarik, and Paniyala police stations, targeting suspected criminal elements.

In the limits of Paharpur Police Station, authorities recovered four rifles of various calibers, one 30-bore pistol, 280 rounds of ammunition, and 134 grams of Ice drug.

In Paniyala, the operation led to the recovery of one Kalashnikov with 15 rounds, two 44-bore rifles, two magazines, 10 rounds of ammunition, and a hand grenade. Meanwhile, in Yarik, police seized one 30-bore pistol with five rounds and 350 grams of hashish.

All individuals involved were arrested and taken into custody, while further legal proceedings are underway.
