Police seized 9.6 kg Hashish in Jamrud, two arrested

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jun, 2026) Police have arrested two suspected members of an organised narcotics network and recovered 9.6 kg of hashish on Sunday during a special checkpoint operation at Khogiani Kotha, Jamrud Khyber district.

The operation was led by SHO Sadiq Khan and supervised by Assistant In-charge Nawab Shah Shaheed Chowki’s team, including Yarrah Jan. The suspects, identified as Abid Hussain (Afridi Abad, Kohat Road) and Muhammad Bilal (Shalobar, Bara), were intercepted on a motorcycle.

A case has been registered and investigations are underway. Jamrud SHO said drug dealers are a menace to society, adding that the suspects are linked to a wider trafficking network. Police urged public cooperation in eliminating narcotics from the area.
