Police siezed gutka manufacturing unit, 690 kgs recovered

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Jun, 2026) Lorry Adda Police on Sunday conducted a raid on an alleged mini-factory involved in the manufacturing of gutka, arresting an accused and recovering a large quantity of the prohibited substance.

Police said the suspect, Faisal, was caught red-handed while manufacturing gutka, as he had set up a production facility inside a residential house where the prohibited items were being prepared on a large scale.

During the operation, 690 kilograms of finished gutka, manufacturing machinery, and a substantial quantity of raw materials were recovered from the site.

Investigators further revealed that the accused was allegedly involved in the production, sale, and supply of gutka in Lahore and other districts, using small consignments transported through local transport networks to avoid detection by law enforcement agencies.

A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to trace the supply chain and identify possible facilitators.
