Police woman table tennis team clinches bronze medal in 61st National Championship

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Apr, 2026) The Pakistan Police Women Table Tennis team delivered an outstanding performance in the 61st National Table Tennis Championship 2026 held in Peshawar, securing the bronze medal after a competitive display against top national sides.

According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, teams from across the country, including Pakistan Army, WAPDA, FIA, and Pakistan Railways, participated in the prestigious national event, where the Pakistan Police women players stood out with their excellent coordination, skill, and determination, earning a well-deserved place on the podium.

Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem congratulated the team on their remarkable achievement and appreciated their performance, saying that the women players of Pakistan Police have brought honour and pride to the department through their hard work, discipline, and dedication.

He added that athletes achieving success at national and international levels are valuable assets of the department and assured that their encouragement and support would continue.

Director General Pakistan Police Sports board Additional IG Imran Arshad and Chief Sports Officer DIG Athar Ismail Amjad also paid tribute to the winning players, acknowledging their outstanding performance and contribution to promoting sports excellence within the police force.
