Private school system holds annual awards ceremony

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Apr, 2026) A private school system, Unique Group of Institutions (UGIs), organised its annual prize-distribution ceremony for the Bahria Town campus at Faisal Auditorium of the Punjab University, here on Saturday.

The event was presided over by UGIs Chairman Prof Abdul Mannan Khurram, while Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Hafiz Mian Muhammad Nauman attended as the chief guest.

The ceremony was held under the supervision of Project Director Professor Mulazim Hussain. Other distinguished guests included renowned tv artist Ali Tahir, singer Tariq Tafu, Rubina Jamal, and Nabeela Intisar. The event also featured vibrant performances by young children, adding colour and enthusiasm to the occasion.

Addressing the audience, chief guest Hafiz Muhammad Nauman stated that children are architects of the future, and a strong and progressive society could only be built through their proper upbringing. He highlighted that education is not only a source of guidance but also a means of passing down traditions and values from one generation to the next. He further stated that the current government is taking significant steps to promote educational activities, including the distribution of laptops among students.

He appreciated the Unique Group of Institutions for its outstanding contributions to education and noted its active role in co-curricular activities.

In his address, Chairman Prof Abdul Mannan stressed that effective character-building and proper training are essential to shaping children into responsible individuals and creating a successful society. He remarked that character development is among the foremost responsibilities of teachers and is key to ensuring a bright future for the nation. He also urged parents to actively participate in their children's upbringing.

On the occasion of completing 10 years, teachers and staff of the Bahria Town Campus were honoured with awards. Shields and certificates were also distributed among high-achieving students.

Among those present were Rector Professor Amjad Ali Khan, Director Academics Professor Waseem Anwar Chaudhry, Director Administration Professor Muhammad Abdullah, Project Director Marghzar Campus Professor Rehan Saleem, Additional Project Director Bahria Town Campus Professor Nabeela, Principal Professor Khadim Hussain, and Vice Principal Professor Maqsood. A large number of teachers, parents, and students attended the ceremony.
