Proclaimed offender in murder case arrested in Kohat operation

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) Kohat police on Sunday arrested a proclaimed offender wanted in a murder case during a targeted operation carried out under the directives of District Police Officer Shahbaz Elahi.

According to police sources, Station House Officer Abdul Rauf Khan along with his team conducted a raid and apprehended the accused, identified as Usman Khan, son of Mohib Ali, a resident of Lal Gari Shahpur.

The suspect had been wanted for a long period in connection with a murder case registered in Kohat.

Officials said the operation was part of ongoing efforts to arrest individuals involved in serious crimes and strengthen law enforcement across the district.

DPO Shahbaz Elahi said that indiscriminate action against criminals will continue to ensure protection of citizens’ lives and property. He reaffirmed that maintaining law and order remains a top priority for the police department.
